Marjorie L. Brown, 87 of West Bend died Saturday October 6 at the West Bend Care Center. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church, West Bend with burial to follow in the West Bend Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:30 -7:30 PM Monday at the church. Harris Funeral Home of West Bend is in charge of arrangements. Marjorie Perkins, the daughter of Herschel and Edith (DeBolt) Perkins was born May 13, 1925 in Rodman, Iowa. She was educated and graduated from the West Bend High School. On March 30, 1947 she was united in marriage with Richard Brown at the United Methodist Church in West Bend. The couple lived and farmed in and around West Bend during their married lives, moving to town in 1992. Survivors include her husband Richard, of West Bend, sons, Raymond (Linda) Brown of West Bend, IA, Ronald (Kay) Brown of West Bend, IA, daughters, Elaine (Leonard) Nicol of Ankeny, IA, and Sheila (Ronald) Balek of Manly, IA, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and her brother Lester (Jane) Perkins of Mankato, Minnesota. Mrs. Brown was a member of the United Methodist Church of West Bend and the circles of the church. She enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent cook.
