Mallard...Norma C. Schuller, 83 of Mallard died Tuesday, February 22 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg. Services will be held Saturday, 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mallard with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 4-6:30 PM Friday at the Harris Funeral Home in Mallard where a parish vigil service will be held at 6:00 PM. Norma Cleo (Bachman), the daughter of Peter and Florence (Noethe) Bachman was born July 31, 1927 in Ardadia, Iowa. She attended parochial school in Arcadia before moving with her family to West Bend where she graduated valdictorian at the West Bend High School in 1945. On November 24, 1948 she was united in marriage with Willard "Bob" Schuller at Sts. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in West Bend. The couple made their home on the Schuller family farm and moved to town in Mallard in 1984. Survivors include Norma's children, Sandra Schuller of Denver, Colorado, Kevin Schuller of Curlew, Iowa and Terry Schuller of Las Vegas, Nevada, grandchildren, Brent (Heather) Schuller and their daughter Jillian, Tracy (Karl) Geisler, and Cal Schuller, sisters, Rita Hansen of Whittemore, Iowa and Minerva Montag of West Bend, Iowa, brothers, Marvin(Della)Bachman and Donald (Jane) Bachman, both of Portland, Oregon, Ray Bachman of Beloit, Wisconsin, Wilmer "Speed" (Mary) Bachman of West Bend, Iowa, sisters in law Karen Bachman of Mallard, Iowa and Marguerite Bertelsen of Hampton, Iowa along with many nieces and nephews. Norma was member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mallard as well as the Christman Mothers and Ladies Groups of the church. She was especially appreicate of all her friends and neighbors who have helped her during the past months. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 2007, son Jim in 1974, brother Virgil and siter Verne Maidment.
