Phyllis Miller Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Phyllis Miller, 86 of West Bend died Saturday May 4 at Lakes Regional Health Center, Spirit Lake, Iowa. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church, West Bend with burial to follow in the West Bend Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 PM Monday at the Harris Funeral Home in West Bend. Phyllis Ann Miller, the daughter of David and Myrtle (Fehr) Zaugg was born September 15, 1926 in West Bend where she was raised and received her education, graduating from the West Bend High School in 1945. She was united in marriage with Herbert Miller in October of 1945 in Hattesburg, Mississippi. The couple lived and farmed in West Bend during their married lives, moving to town in 2004. Survivors include her children: Steve (Carol) Miller of West Bend, IA, Marcia (Jerome) Bauer of Ottosen, IA, and Patty (Doug) Shirk of Emmetsburg, IA, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, siblings: Delores Besch of Algona, IA Laura Hagg of Council Bluffs, IA, Dale Zaugg of Emmetsburg, IA, and Judy Schmidt of West Bend, IA. Phyllis was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxillary. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards and cooking.
