Humboldt...Theodore N. "Ted" Benjamin Theodore Ted Benjamin, 93 of Humboldt died June 14, 2016 in Loveland, Colorado. Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the First Lutheran Church, Gilmore City with burial to follow in Marble Valley Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday prior to services at the church. Harris Funeral Home of Gilmore City is assisting the family. Ted, the son of Chris and Emelia (Naeve) Benjamin was born April 18, 1923 and raised on a farm south of Bradgate. He graduated from the Bradgate Consolidated School in 1940. On April 29, 1945 he was united in marriage to Lillian Grove of Plover and the couple made their home and raised their four daughters on the family farm in Avery Township. Upon retirement they divided their time between homes in Britt, IA and Pharr, TX. In 2005 they relocated to Humboldt where they enjoyed their home on the river until moving to Springvale Assisted Living. In June of 2015 they moved to Colorado. Ted was preceded in death by his daughter Linda, his parents Chris and Emelia, and his brothers Robert and Dennis. Survivors include his wife of 71 years Lillian and 3 daughters, Pamela (Vern) Nedved of Humboldt, IA, Teresa (Dave) Dunn of Fort Collins, CO, and Marcia (Ken) Javor of Highland Village, TX, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren with one on the way, six step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. www.harrisfuneralservices.com
