Todd Decker, age 58 of Algona, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 3rd at the First United Methodist Church in Algona. Services will be live streamed on Lentz Funeral Home’s website https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/todd-michael-decker. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be at 9:00 am until service time on Friday. Todd Michael Decker, the son of Dwight and Judy (Alexander) Decker, was born on July 22, 1963 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He graduated from Algona High School in 1982. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Algona. In 2005, Todd married Teresa, and from that marriage he became the stepfather to Teresa's 3 children. Todd’s favorite title of all was Grandpa, and he loved all 8 of his grandchildren fiercely. Todd’s favorite companion was his dog Pepsi. She was his sidekick wherever he went. Todd enjoyed fishing wherever they were biting, music, cars and the Green Bay Packers. Todd worked at Pioneer for all of his adult life until he retired in 2019. Todd had one of the best personalities; he was kind, sarcastic, funny and giving. He enjoyed helping families in need when opportunities came about. Left to cherish Todd’s memory are his mother, Judy Decker; children, Heather (Mike) Francis, Brent (Tara) Gast, and Ashley (Chris) Hejlik; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Bailey, Brielle and Nathan Francis, Logan and Alex Gast, Natalie and Caden Hejlik; siblings, Robbie Decker, Troy (Megan) Decker, and Angela (Nate) Stewart; many nieces and nephews; and prior spouse, Teresa Decker. He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Decker, grandparents, and sister-in-law, Barb.
